The Carrington Hotel is a Blue Mountains hotel offering guests accommodation in an elegant restored building dating from the late 19th century. The Carrington Hotel has accommodation at this Blue Mountains hotel which ranges from its Traditional Rooms, with shared bathrooms in the original style of the hotel, and accommodation in its Premier Rooms, some of which feature a balcony and a view over the Blue Mountains, to Junior Suites designed for couples and its Executive Suites which are large enough for families. Decor is traditional in style, and all rooms have flat screen televisions with DVD players available, while wifi internet access is also available to guests. The hotel's Grand Dining Room is considered to be one of the last authentic Victorian dining rooms in Australia and is open from Wednesday to Saturday nights for dinner, while the more informal Old City Bank Brasserie opens daily for lunch and dinner. There are three bars in the hotel, including Champagne Charlies, said to be the only cocktail bar in Katoomba. The hotel's location means that guests can explore the many natural attractions of the Blue Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Weddings are a speciality, while meetings and events for up to 200 people can be arranged.

3.7/5Heather from Australia recently stayed in a Colonial room for 2 days.

I regularly stay at this hotel because I particularly appreciate the art deco/ old world feel of the place. However, the facilities and service are completely modern and comprehensive! It's always a pleasure to be a guest at the Carrington. One (minor) complaint would be being allocated a room at the back of the hotel - it's quite a long way from the main facilities.

Try the restaurant. We were very pleasantly surprised, and besides the beautiful period dining room there was some live piano by a tuxedo gentleman.
