Busua is a small town which lies along the Gulf of Guinea, 256 kilometres from the capital city of Accra. Unlike its neighbouring towns of Butre and Dixcove, Busua has a distinct tourist feel to it. Its sprawling beaches are popular with Western visitors and are believed to be the most active beaches in the country with a large surfing community - Black Star Surf Club. Food enthusiasts can also enjoy its range of seafood restaurants including Alaska reggae bar, located on the beach. Busua hotels offer many one to four star choices.
