The Hotel Reykjavik Centrum is a group of three charming old-world buildings on one of the city's oldest streets, Adalstraeti, which also houses the Reykjavik Art Museum. Part of this Reykjavik hotel was originally built in 1764, but has been tastefully and comfortably restored. The hotel buildings were built above the site of a traditional Viking longhouse. Information about this is exhibited in the Viking Centre on the same street. Choose from 89 Single and Double Standard or Deluxe Rooms, Junior Suites or Studio Apartments. They are all tastefully decorated in simple Icelandic style, with cool colours and wooden floors. Standard features in all rooms are TVs, Wi-Fi access, tea or coffee making facilities and en-suite bathrooms. The Studio Apartments also have fully fitted kitchenettes, giving you total freedom and flexibility during your stay in Iceland. Dine in Fjalaköttur, the award-winning restaurant of the Reykjavik Centrum . Here you will be served traditional Icelandic dishes accompanied by fine wines from an extensive wine list. If you are looking for something lighter or just a cup of coffee, then visit the Uppsalir café bar. From this Reykjavik Hotel there are pleasant walks along the Ellidaar River, which flows through the town and plenty of galleries and museums to explore, such as the National Gallery of Iceland.

4.0/5Nicola from United Kingdom recently stayed in a Standard for 4 days.

Great location, warm, clean, great shower and even though we were on the ground floor just round the corner from reception it was really quiet. Could not fault the location or hotel for a short break :)
