2.6/5Mary from Ireland recently stayed in a Standard for 7 days.

My friend a I recently stayed in the Cavaleiri. For a four star hotel there was elements of it that certainly did not meet our expectations, such as The bedroom had a wooden wardrobe which was rotting and filthy inside (I kept my clothes in the suitcase as opposed to putting them on shelves). House cleaning wasn't exactly "does as it says on the tin"; our bed was made but certainly no fresh sheets were used in the week we were there. The towels were changed but again there was no cleaning done to the bathroom. Very poor standard of cleaning for a "4 star" hotel. The buffet breakfast each morning was grand, it's nothing amazing but it's your typical buffet. I can't really comment on the food by the pool as we didn't eat here during the day. The drink however was extortionate. I got 3.5 litres of water on our first morning which was a ghastly €7! Needless to say I went to the supermarket thereafter. Alcohol was quite overpriced too. The pool area was nice and there was never a scramble for sun loungers in the morning. The location is great & having the hotel literally on the coast was class. People were going from the pool to their sun loungers and for a change from their sun loungers jumping into the sea. Overall the hotel was ok but I couldn't say it was value for money however, I am aware that hotel ratings in foreign countries isn't as up to standard as Ireland, so really and truly a proper 4 star is perhaps a 5 star in Malta.

Spotlessly clean. Indoor pool small but that's not a big issue. Helpful staff. Will stay there again!
