I spent 4 nights at the Hilton with friends on holiday. The overall experience while satisfactory was dampened by a credit card charge goof-up not expected of a 5 star establishment. The Hotel is fairly nice but an isolated location without anything nearby so you're stuck for places to eat and the hotel does not have a wide selection especially if you are looking for a light dinner. The rooms are spacious and nice. The bathroom too is spacious though the tile joints could do with some cleaning. Be aware of your credit card being charged at check in and make sure the charge is reversed or settled correctly at checkout. My card was charged for MUR 15000/- and as I settled my bills in cash it was to be reversed on checkout. After reaching home & checking with the bank I was shocked to find that the charge was not reversed even 5 days after check out. So have to unnecessarily waste time writing emails back and forth. The hotels response time on emails leaves much to be desired in this day & age of technology. SO BE CAUTIONED!!
