13/3 South Sathorn Road, Bangkok 10120, Thailand
Certainly a great hotel. Good location but missing the charm of the riverside hotels w access to river boats and river view. Japanese style that means very nice and elegant but a bit too black and sober. No outdoor facilities apart from pool area, bar area closed and dark. Great breakfast. Next time, if it weren't for a riverside hotel I would look for sth more charming, with higher floors and view, and perhaps a rooftop terrace or so. Belongs to the leading hotels of the world, and sureley right so, but not my personal favourite. We liked free wifi. Problems with leaving the premises due to road traffic on a Friday afternoon, 1 hour for the 1st bend, and problems getting a taxi cab f the same reason. If you like modern Japanese style surroundings and don't care for views or outdoor dining, may be a good choice.

The Sukhothai is outstanding, an oasis of calm in a frantic city. Service was impeccable, rooms were beautiful, and you can't leave without having a Thai massage at the spa. You will feel ten years younger. Linger beside the pool, and then dine at Celadon, the best Thai restaurant in Thailand. I will never stay anywhere else in Bangkok.
